TRYP is available for download free on all Android and iOS mobile devices. Simply go to the Google Play Storer (Android users), search "TRYP Passenger" and select "Install" or go to the Apple App-Store (iOS users), search "TRYP Passenger" and select "Get" to download the App. Launch the App and simply follow the registration instructions.
Once you have registered with TRYP Passenger your present location will load automatically into the Pick Up address bar via your device's GPS. Enter your destination in the Drop Off address bar and select NEXT. You may now select the type of ride needed (Standard, Business or Exclusive), your method of Payment (cash or credit card) and select Get Fare Estimate to view the distance to be traveled, average time to get to your destination and the estimated fare to be paid. Once you have confirmed the details select Request TRYP, then TRYP NOW and the nearest available Driver will be on their way to you. You will receive a notification that your Request was accepted and you can view the driver's journey to you in real time on the map.
After you have selected REQUEST TRYP, you will be given the option to TRYP NOW or TRYP LATER. To use our pre-booking service simply select TRYP LATER and enter the date and time to be picked up. A Driver will arrive at your location at your scheduled request. *This feature will be made available soon.
Automatic calculation of your fare does not begin until your TRYP has started; a feature activated by your Driver only when he or she arrives at your pick up location. The total fare charged for your TRYP is determined by the distance between your pick up location and destination, and the time taken to get to your destination from your pickup location. You can view your Fare Estimate before sending your TRYP Request. For a full breakdown of the fare, please check the “ TRYP RATES “ Tab.
You can call or message your Driver via the App. Simply tap on the Call/Message icon located on the top right corner of the screen. Please note that your carrier's standard message and call rates apply.
Passengers have the option of sharing their ride with family members or friends that are also traveling to the same destination. If the additional Passenger(s) resides at another location, they can also be picked up on the way and the total fare is charged based on the total distance covered and time taken from the first Pick Up location to the previously loaded destination. Simply inform your driver of the need for such.
When booking your TRYP you have a choice of three (3) types of vehicles or rides; Standard, Standard+ or Business. Our Standard ride is your regular sedan for everyday commute that seats up to four (4) passengers. Our Standard+ ride seats up to seven (7) passengers and our Business ride are for passengers that prefer a more luxurious or executive experience.
At the moment only Cash payments are accepted as we are currently working on the Credit Card Payment option. An upgrade will be made available soon. In the interim your fare can be paid in cash to your driver at the end of your TRYP.
A requested TRYP can be cancelled while the driver is en route to your location. However, abuse of the App can lead to suspension of your account.
You will receive an OTP via sms to complete the registration. It aids to authenticate your number to the server.
All the details on your previous bookings are saved under "MY TRYPS." You can contact the driver or MY TRYP SUPPORT at 1-868-273-8797 immediately upon determining that your item remained in the TRYP vehicle. We recommend you make contact within 24 hours.
The SOS Emergency icon is the button you press if for any reason you feel unsafe while taking a TRYP. The emergency contacts you have saved would be notified of your last location and also TRYPs Admin.
When you initiate a ride and it has been accepted, you will get an sms and email notification that your ride has been accepted. Also you will get a notification; sms and email, and a receipt when the driver arrives and when the ride is completed.
You can see the drivers info, before they arrive. Info such as, Name, photo, car make and model, license plate number. This will aid you to verify you are boarding the right car.
